Here are the steps to make the 2009 Theme Key Chains.

1. Flatten the wristband.
2. Place a hole punch over the small circle that separates the first and last words of the theme and on the backside on the word "in" that comes between "charity" and "spirit", then make two 1/8" holes with the craft punch. I suggest punching through both sides at the same time so the holes are lined up perfectly.
3. Thread the key ring on to the wristband and slide it to the end and between the two holes (see picture).
4. Insert the decorative brad through the holes in the wristband.
5. Separate and bend the legs of the brad down.

   I used the Cropodile hole puncher from my local craft store and decorative brads that have longer posts. If the posts are long enough, wrap them around and tuck under the front part of the brad. The cropodile has an adjustment you can set so that it punches in the center of the wristband each time. If your brad would cover up the word "be", then just punch your hole a little more to the left.

   This is a super quick and easy craft - about 4 minutes from start to finish!

   NOTE: Metal flower brads are available again. The colored button variety don't require needle nosed pliers and are easier to make. We also have a limited supply of silver star shaped brads.
